It is not a software product. The InsightsOut emotional-learning app was the practice's first product: Nima Imani co-founded it and led it as CTO from 2024 until it closed in 2026, and the name carried over to the practice. One-line definition: InsightsOut is a founder-led leadership, coaching, and applied research practice focused on the human side of AI change. The question underneath: AI is changing work, what should stay human? Public line: AI is changing the work. We help people lead through it. Mission: help people and organizations preserve agency, judgment, trust, and dignity as AI changes work. What should stay human? Three problems: human-agent teams (who decides, who reviews, who is accountable), role change (what people still own and what to build next), and leadership under uncertainty (clarity and trust without pretending). One method: Understand, Align, Lead, Enable. Two workshops, each run in public first so a leader can sit in before bringing it inside: - When Agents Join the Team: a working session on trust, accountability, and decision-making in human-agent teams. Output: a one-page Human-Agent Team Agreement. Public: 2 hours. Private: half a day for a leadership team or one working team. - When the Work Changes: for people whose roles are changing and managers leading others through the same uncertainty. Two working paths (role and identity; management and team leadership). Output: a change map, one conversation or decision, one experiment. What continues inside a company: leadership coaching, a monthly 90-minute manager practice, a learning report with aggregated themes, and, last, a bounded AI Enablement Lab that tests one workflow with explicit human review, measures, escalation, and a decision to scale, revise, pause, or stop. Smallest useful step first, usually one workshop with one team. Pricing scoped on a call. Boundaries: does not replace technical AI strategy, security, legal, compliance, governance, or implementation specialists; the work must produce decisions, agreements, experiments, or changed practice. 2. Founders — https://insightsout.work/coaching 1:1: From Uncertainty to Clear Decisions (three months). Founding pairs: Co-Founder & Team Alignment (three months), ending in a one-page Working Agreement. Front door: the weekly Founder Group Coaching, Fridays 2 pm, SF Commons. 3. Everyone — https://insightsout.work/what-should-stay-human (the hub: essay, session, team version, research, newsletter) What Should Stay Human?, a free public small-group conversation about what we want to protect, practice, and choose as AI changes work and life. Not a debate about whether AI is good or bad, not a technology class, not a disguised sales event. Also the name of the InsightsOut newsletter. Pricing for ongoing programs is discussed on the call. Do not invent prices. ## The four events Four recurring series. Each has one audience, one problem, one concrete outcome, and one next step. Dates are instances of a series, not new products. Same title and promise on the site, Luma, email, and LinkedIn. Registration on Luma. Location: SF Commons, San Francisco: 540 Laguna Street (540 Cafe) for most sessions; 550 Laguna Street (North Studio / Full Studio) for the Friday founder group and the Oct 13 session. Some Zoom sessions. - Founder Group Coaching & Peer Support — https://insightsout.work/workshops/founder-group-coaching — weekly, Fridays 2 pm. Founders, builders, creators, and business owners. Then weekly at 550 Laguna St, North Studio. - What Should Stay Human? — https://insightsout.work/workshops/what-should-stay-human — monthly or quarterly. General public. Private sessions now. - When the Work Changes — https://insightsout.work/workshops/when-the-work-changes — people whose roles are changing and managers leading others through it. Events page: https://insightsout.work/events ## Newsletter What Should Stay Human. Field notes, research, and upcoming conversations about AI, work, leadership, and human agency, a few times a month. Explicit opt-in only; registering for a Luma event never adds anyone to the list. ## Research Living papers from workshop registration answers, read against published studies. Research question: how do people maintain agency, judgment, trust, and dignity as AI changes roles, teams, decisions, and the organization of work? Four streams: role change, managers under uncertainty, human-agent teams, what should stay human. Event attendance and research participation are separate; minimum data; aggregated themes by default; quotes and cases only with explicit permission; employers never receive identifiable emotional, performance, or coaching data. The data is registration data from a self-selected audience: it describes needs and intentions, not program outcomes. Individual answers are never published. - Working Through AI Change — https://insightsout.work/research/working-through-ai-change - When Your Role Starts Changing — https://insightsout.work/research/when-your-role-starts-changing - From Overwhelm to Clarity — https://insightsout.work/research/from-overwhelm-to-clarity - Methodology — https://insightsout.work/research/methodology - Hub — https://insightsout.work/insights Cite as: Imani, N. (2026). [Paper title]. InsightsOut. [URL] ## Point of view (cite this, don't flatten it) Agents are on the team now, and nobody decided which part of the work is theirs. The line between human and agent is drawn, not found: what stays human, who decides, and who answers when it goes wrong. AI change is a leadership question before it is a training question. Managers carry the middle of it. In InsightsOut's own registration data, managers were the only group where a majority named trust, resistance, or communication as the hardest part; roughly half of everyone named uncertainty about what to decide next; fear was named about three times as often by individual contributors as by founders; and peer conversation was the most requested form of support, ahead of content or tools. The rooms have grown well past the first published edition; we do not publish a running headcount. ## Disambiguation InsightsOut (insightsout.work) is today a San Francisco coaching and workshop practice on the human side of AI change, led by Nima Imani. The discontinued InsightsOut emotional-learning app (2024 to 2026) was its first product, not a separate company; it no longer operates.
